Thai, treats and tunes for June

Hi everyone!
I have so much to catch up with you guys on – I know it has been forever I cannot believe we are at the end of June! I have the third and final installment of the lessons I’m learning series to post, but i thought I would recap a bit before the month comes to an end!

June has been such a fun month! we have had some spells of Sunshine in London and I feel like a new leaf has turned in terms of my not so wonderful start to the year. I got the fab news in May that I passed my exams so June has been filled with lots of treats and socialising coming up for air before knuckling down for the last viva exam in September. Most weekends have been filled with birthday parties with family and friends, and making the most of our delicious weekly date nights! One of my favourite cuisines is Thai food and I cannot recommend Naamyaa in North London enough! the curries were to die for and the jasmine tea smoked baby back ribs were out of this world, I could actually smell the jasmine! It is the same genious behind wagamamas and busaba, very reasonable but super decadent! We went to my friends birthday drinks after in Camden and as I hardly drink anyone one frozen margarita was my limit! it was amazing and I loved letting my curls down dancing to neo soul / old school R’n’B ! I wore a little navy blue lace shift dress (present from my Mummy bargain £12 from George Asda!) and it was just perfect! Although I feel my figure is a working progress and I’ve plenty more to lose, I felt really comfy and sexy 🙂

June has been filled with so many treats too – eek! Don’t get me wrong I have been eating lots of healthy big bowls of salads, but I thought whats the harm of a few treatpics thrown in for your drooling pleasure…

I have also braved the shops and found some wonderful key pieces that are feel are in keeping with my evolving style and figure. I got this wonderful shift dress at M&S for £31 which I wore to my nephews dedication and also to work. I love the aztec print and its a bit brighter in real life, which I love!

I’ve also been very reflective for June. As fun and frolics it has been, I was able to take some time out to re-evaluate my goals not just only for my health but for my life. Its hard to keep a tab on healthy eating when socialising especially! I found this online source http://femaleentrepreneurassociation.com/ extremely inspiring, and although I wouldn’t class myself as an “entrepreneur” or even a business woman, their free pdf download “the May Review” really helped me gain some clarity and perspective for the 6 months gone, and the 6months ahead. If i’m honest I was disappointed in myself for not reaching my health/weight goals so far this year, but found this source extremely motivating and positive to help me think possibly of my mental “blocks” that have prevented me making my goals “drawing that line”, and move forward.
